Thrilled to share my experience of being one of 120 likeminded individuals within CMA CGM & CEVA Logistics worldwide that joined the 1st cohort of the Leadership course in Marseille at the TANGRAM Center!Starting the first phase a mere 2 months ago online using HEC Paris Blackboard, from scholarly articles and case studies to digital labs, assessments and quizzes. I was submerged with knowledge on various approaches towards leadership, correlating to the continuous adaption and paradoxes in this fast-changing world. This build-up led to last week, where I was able to meet my peers in person and share experiences and best practices but also challenges of the past and ahead. From large group plenary sessions to digital simulations and small team break-out sessions, we have been taught in such an exciting and moreover inspirational manner with guidance from the professors of HEC Paris. Topics such as purposeful, responsible, adaptive and change leadership combined with amazing innovations and technologies together with parties such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and moreover very inspiring guest lecturers. It is truly joyous being part of a group with such a shared sense of mutual dedication and passion for the work they do. I feel truly humbled to have been able to take part and moreover put to practice what has been taught. Most important take away for me was to listen and taking into account the overall complexity on such a broad subject whereas I consider leadership as being the art of management, an art that I want to continue learning from and applying in my day-to-day life. A special thanks to the entire team both front- and backstage TANGRAM Center, all our teachers from HEC Paris and each of my peers!#Betterways #Leadership #WhatGotYouHereWontGetYouThere

A reminder that it's not all about you when you're a leader. One of the most effective tools you should develop for your toolkit is that of creating space for others. And the real win win is that it's highly effective whilst also freeing up your own time and headspace ✨ #winwin #leadingbeyondhierarchy #learningtogether

I've been reflecting on the Future London Academy MBA graduation event a few weeks back....One of the things you couldn't avoid was how much the cohort had bonded and learned from each other. It was the common thread among all the graduates that I spoke to...."The course has been great and the experience shared by all the expert speakers was invaluable but the connections made and the peer to peer learning opportunities were a true highlight." ....As one of the guest speakers on the course, it would be foolish of me to take this to heart. Afterall I'm an advocate of leading beyond hierarchy and this means providing space for peer to peer connections throughout all areas of business (and learning!)As a senior leader in the travel industry, it was one of the most effective tools I used...... creating space for peer groups to come together and learn had real impact on various results. And as a coach and facilitator supporting purpose driven businesses, peer to peer learning has been one of my go-to mechanisms for connection and change. As a leader, if you are central to all the learning and meeting points that your teams have, you are missing a huge opportunity. You don't have to control the space. And you don't have to be present or visible in all communications. The art of leadership beyond hierarchy is to hold your purpose, vision and mission with both strength and lightness of touch....And create effective space for work, knowledge and connections to flow.▶ ▶ This is what enables your people to connect and learn from each other in ways that they'll engage with and remember forever.#leadingbeyondhierarchy #learningtogether #leadership #futurelondonacademy

This week I was at INSEAD Executive Education. For the International Directors Programme ‘63, module 2.Some insights & lessons learned:✅ In changing times – even crises - Fair Process Leadership is extra evident (prof Ludo VAN DER HEYDEN):- Engaging & seeing & framing (80% ASK)- Exploring & generating & eliminating options (80% ASK)- (Deciding) & Explaining & expectations setting (80% TELL)- Executing & realizing & rewarding (80% ASK)- Evaluating & learning & adapting (80% ASK).✅ In present times of global changes in increasing pace board members must be strong on ethical dilemma’s (prof Marc Le Menestrel):- ‘We are no saints, nor completely unethical’- ‘It is never black or white; most of times it is grey’ (see different perspectives)- ‘It is about drawing the line in the grey’ (personal integrity)- ‘In times of chaos there are no clear answers, it is up to us to bring meaning’ (know yourself).✅ More effective cooperation across cultures (prof Erin Meyer):Be aware of the ‘The culture map’ with 8 scales, among others:- Communicating: low <–> high context- Evaluating: direct <–> indirect negative feedback- Trusting: task <–> relationship based.🍀 With many thanks to my inspiring IDP’63 collegues ! Part IV: 🌐 Board Director Training: Traditional vs. Innovative Paths 🚀Aspiring leaders have two distinct paths to choose from when it comes to board director training. 🚀 The traditional route, offered by world-renowned institutions like HSG, INSEAD, Harvard Business School, and Financial Times, emphasizes in-depth, structured academic learning and strategic oversight. 🎓On the other hand, the innovative Veblen Director Program offers flexibility 🔄 to tailor your learning experience, community insights 👥, cost-effectiveness 💰, and board placement assistance 🎯, providing practical experience and networking opportunities. No matter which path you choose, each equips you with essential skills for board directorship. 🌟 Whether you prefer the traditional academic rigor or the dynamic, real-world application of the innovative approach, choose the one that best aligns with your career aspirations and learning style. 🛤️Make your path, your choice. #BoardTraining #LeadershipDevelopment #CareerGrowth #InnovativeLearning #BoardPlacement #boardleadership #boardacademy

🌟 New Milestone, New Challenges! 🌟I am thrilled to announce that I have embarked on a transformative journey with the EMBA in Business Intelligence at the International University of La Rioja (UNIR). This decision comes after exploring and even starting different master’s options, where -after a couple of very bad experiences with low-quality educational programs- I learned firsthand the invaluable lesson that time is precious. This journey taught me the importance of swiftly changing paths when we realize we’re not fully aligned with our true aspirations. The International University of La Rioja offers a program that stands out with its perfect blend of quality, structure, and organization, resonating deeply with my professional and personal goals. Its innovative approach to data analysis and business intelligence is exactly what I believe is essential for thriving in our fast-paced and technologically advanced world. Moreover, my educational path is further enriched by participation in an Executive Program focused on Transformative Leadership, which includes the Harvard ManageMentor certification and the MIU University training on leadership. This comprehensive curriculum is designed not only to deepen my knowledge of business intelligence but also to enhance my leadership capabilities, equipping me to lead transformative changes within any organization. The choice to pursue this MBA reflects my commitment to not only gaining technical and strategic knowledge but also to developing leadership skills that enable me to guide teams and manage projects more effectively. Embracing the ethos that making data-driven decisions is more crucial than ever, I am eager to see how these insights can revolutionize our operational practices, boost efficiency, and promote a culture of continuous innovation.I look forward to sharing with you all the learnings and experiences this enriched program will bring. Here’s to embracing new horizons and the endless possibilities they hold! 🚀#MBA #BusinessIntelligence #EMBA #ContinuingEducation #ProfessionalDevelopment #UniversidadInternacionalDeLaRioja #TransformativeLeadership #ExecutiveEducation
